Shimla, May 6

The police are all prepared to strictly enforce curfew from May 7 to 16 to break the chain of Covid-19. They today warned that a FIR would be registered and a fine of Rs 5,000 would be imposed if the 50 per cent capacity of a vehicle was exceeded.

Attempts to enter the state with fake documents and a false Covid-19 negative report would also invite an FIR and arrest, a police spokesperson said here.

The violation of mandatory wearing of mask or wearing it below the nose would attract a fine of Rs 1,000 and arrest if the offence is repeated. The police also instructed shopkeepers to ensure social distancing, including a provision of a queue with earmarked white circles at proper distances for customers, at all shops. — TNS
