Acting tough on anti-social elements in the district, the Panchkula police nabbed one suspect with 10.33 grams of heroin on Wednesday. The arrested suspect has been identified as 37-year-old Tarsem, alias Gullu, son of Ram Awadh, resident of Barotiwala village, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, currently a tenant at Pritam Colony in Pinjore.

On Wednesday, the police received a tip-off regarding a man supplying heroin to a customer in front of the Gurudwara in village Rampur Jangi, on the basis of which a team reached the spot and arrested the accused. On searching him, 10.33 grams of heroin and Rs 1,500 cash were recovered. On interrogation, the accused could not produce any license, etc for the possession, after which a case was registered against him under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at Pinjore police station. The accused was produced before a court and sent to a two-day police remand.
