A seminar on de-addiction and importance of blood-donation and a poetry symposium were organised at the local Red Cross Bhawan on Saturday. The district-level event was organised under the aegis of District Red Cross Society and Pragya Sahityik Manch.

Senior citizens, litterateurs and artistes shared their views and presented their creations before the participants. A book titled ‘Nasha-Nash Ki Jad’, penned by Ramakanta, was also released on the occasion. The author stated that the litterateurs had shown the right path to society from time to time through their creations and in the present era, it was everyone’s responsibility to stop the youth from falling prey to drug-addiction.

Noted litterateur Madhukant, who has been motivating the youth to donate blood for more than two decades and has been awarded by Haryana Sahitya Academy, was also present.
