The PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (NMP) platform could soon be accessible to the private sector. This would provide a huge opportunity for the private players as they could apply the geospatial data about infrastructure, which is stacked in the NMP, for taking decisions about locating warehouses or connecting to the market potential.

Launched on October 13, 2021, the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti (PMGS) scheme aims to break the inter-ministerial tangles and foster cooperation and integration in the fast track implementation of projects. The scheme is expected to smooth out the execution of projects and foster coordination among the ministries. Large-scale infrastructure projects such as Bharatmala and Bharat Net will be executed using the master plan. “Shortly, you would see the platform could or would be opened to the private sector,” Joint Secretary, DPIIT, said.
