Plan to abolish post of SE (Works) opposed

The Joint Front of HPSEBL Employees and Engineers have opposed the move to abolish the post of Superintending Engineers (Works) in the electricity board. The Joint Front has contended that the decision would adversely affect the working of the electricity board. The Front contended that SE (Works) plays a crucial role in the office of Chief Engineers. He carries out several important jobs, including taking the charge for interrupted operations in the absence of Chief Engineers, daily operational coordination, documentation and reporting, audit and compliance, arbitration and court cases, monitoring progress of projects, etc.

Therefore the abolition of the post will be disastrous for the working of HPSEBL,” the Front wrote.
