Pilot boosts Chiranjeev Rao’s claim to post of Deputy CM
Former Rajasthan Deputy CM and Congress leader, Sachin Pilot, today gave a boost to Rewari’s Congress nominee Chiranjeev Rao’s claim to the post of Deputy CM if the party comes to power in Haryana.
Addressing a poll meeting at Budhla village here, Pilot appealed to the people to vote for Chiranjeev stating that he would get him a big responsibility in the government.
Some days ago, Chiranjeev laid claim to the post of Deputy CM stating that he needs this position to serve the people better and ensure overall development of Ahirwal.
“It is my guarantee that Chiranjeev and I will work together for the holistic development of Rewari. The BJP has been in power for the past decade but it did nothing for this area. Now, the time has come to oust it from power and to usher in a new era of development in Rewari by bringing the Congress back to power,” said the Rajasthan leader.
“The Union Government led by PM Narendra Modi is walking on crutches. The double engine government in Haryana failed to perform and blew smoke only,” said Pilot.
Launching a scathing attack on the BJP over farmers’ issues, the former Deputy CM said the BJP was arrogant and it had nothing to do with the welfare of farmers and other sections of society.
Striking an emotional chord with electors, Pilot said earlier, his father late Rajesh Pilot used to come to Rewari to campaign for Chiranjeev’s father and Ahir stalwart Capt Ajay Singh Yadav. Now, he has come for Chiranjeev.
