Pharma students take out a rally against drugs
Students of Rayat Bahra Institute of Pharmacy organised an awareness rally on the theme ‘Say No to Drugs’. The rally was flagged off by the principal, Maninder Singh Grover. Around 200 students participated in the rally, and they raised slogans against drug abuse with banners and placards. The students pledged to steer clear of drugs and make people aware of their ill-effects. The rally started from Green View Park and passed through Session Chowk, Suthehri Road, Government College Chowk, and Railway Mandi.
The aim of the rally was to make people aware of the harm of drug abuse and to urge parents to keep an eye on their children so that they did not fall prey to drug abuse. Campus Director Chandra Mohan said drug addiction ruined the future of youth. He stressed that everyone should work together to eradicate this social evil. Department Head Amit Sharma said the rally was a part of World Pharmacist Day celebrations. On this occasion, poster-making, slogan writing, quiz and debate competitions were also organised, and the winners were honoured with certificates and medals.
