Under the guidance of chancellor Gurdeep Singh Sihra, GNA University recently organised “Aabhar-2024”, an award ceremony.

The event was a heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated teachers, who have tirelessly shaped the future of countless students.

The programme was inaugurated by vice-chancellor Dr Hemant Sharma.

He praised the university’s initiative, stating that deserving teachers who had made remarkable contributions to the field of education should always be honoured.

During the ceremony, 400 educators were recognised for their services in various categories, including Innovative Teaching, Lifetime Achievement in Education, and Outstanding Mentorship.

The honoured teachers were presented with trophies as a mark of appreciation for their contributions.

The event also featured an address by Simarjeet Singh, a corporate trainer, who emphasised the critical role of teachers in shaping the future during a workshop session. Students performed cultural programmes. Dr Monika Hanspal, Dean (Academics and Systems & Operations) said the purpose of the event was to express gratitude for the immense contributions of teachers, whose dedication and passion were the driving forces behind students’ success.

The event was attended by Dr Vikrant Sharma (Dean, School of Engineering Design and Automation), Dr Sameer Verma (Dean, GNA Business School), Dr CR Tripathi (Dean, School of Engineering Design and Automation) and others.
