Ph-1 of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan ends
On the second day of Kheda Watan Punjab Diyan- 2024 block-level games, the players sweated it out in the field. In the first phase, competitions in blocks Talwara, Mukerian, Tanda, Hoshiarpur-2 and Garhshankar concluded today. Giving information, District Sports Officer Gurpreet Singh said that competitions in athletics, volleyball, kabaddi circle and national style, football and kho-kho were being organised in this phase.
Day 2 results
In block Talwara, Talwara stood first in football Under-21 category for boys. In kabaddi national style Under-14 category for girls, Government Girls High School stood first and Government Senior Secondary School, Ramgarh Sikri, stood second. In the 200 meter athletics competition for girls, Payal of Government Senior Secondary School, Palahad, stood first and Riddhi Minhas stood second.
In block Garhshankar, Parowal stood first in kabaddi circle style in Under-21 category for boys. In Under-17 kabaddi national style, Government Senior Secondary School, Fatehpur, stood first, Shekhowal Club stood second and Manav Public School stood third. In Under-17 kho-kho competition for girls, SBS Sadarpur team was the winner.
In the Under-14 football matches for boys of Block Hoshiarpur-2, Government Senior Secondary School Bohan came first and Sant Kabir Public School came second. Similarly, in the Under-14 and Under-17 girls’ volleyball team matches, Rayat Bahra International School came first. In the boys’ athletics 800 meters, Joginderpal came first and Gurmel second. In the boys’ 60-meter race, Arun Kaithwar came first and Vinod second.
In block Mukerian, in the 1500 meters race for girls in the Under-21 category, Rosie came first and Dimple second. Similarly, in the Under-21 boys’ 200 meters race, Rajveer Singh came first, Vinayak second and Daksh Kumar third.
In block Tanda, in the Under-14, Under-17 and Under-21 category football for boys, Government Senior Secondary School Khudda came first.
The District Sports Officer said that the second phase of Kheda Watan Punjab Diyan-2024 block-level competitions will be held on September 6-7.
