People have voted for govt’s work: Himachal Congress chief Pratibha Singh

Following a 2-1 victory of the Congress in bypolls, state Congress president Pratibha Singh said the people have voted for the work done by the Congress government in the state.

“The government has implemented most of the guarantees given in our election manifesto. The remaining guarantees will also be fulfilled in due course of time,” she said.

The state president further said the results of the byelections held in other states had gone largely in favour of the INDIA coalition, and she credited senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for the countrywide good show.

“The biggest credit for these results goes to Rahul Gandhi. He took out the Bharat Jodi Yatra, in which he established connect with the people across the country and understood their sentiments. We are now witnessing the results of that effort,” she said.

Pratibha Singh made a special mention of the 2-0 victory of the Congress in the BJP-ruled Uttarakhand.

“We won both the by-elections in Uttarakhand. Congratulations to Congress leaders and workers for this win,” she said.
