Punjab’s Health, Family Welfare, and Medical Education and Research Minister Balbir Singh administered the oath to 6,276 newly elected panches of 1,022 Panchayats in the district at the New Polo Ground on Sangrur Road.

Dr Balbir Singh called on the panches to work collectively for the progress of their villages, ensuring no resident was left behind.

The minister emphasised the need for Gram Panchayats to rise above politics of revenge and embrace a fresh mindset for rural development. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government had initiated a new era of progress in health, education, employment and public welfare.
