Three-day multimedia exhibition begins at Govt Mohindra College, Patiala

The Central Bureau of Communication of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, is organising outreach programmes on the theme of welfare schemes launched by the government at various places across the country, following which, a three-day multimedia exhibition commenced at the Government Mohindra College here today.
Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray graced the occasion as the chief guest. While praising the initiative, he said the government ran various schemes for the welfare of people. This multimedia exhibition was organised to make people aware of those different schemes. Apart from this, he also emphasised the importance of the Clean India Movement and said that every citizen should come forward to make it successful.
Gurmeet Singh (IIS), FPO, Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, said the exhibition showcased different welfare schemes of various ministries. Besides this, people would also be made aware of online frauds, which were rising. Principal Amarjit Singh commended the initiative as well. Poster-making and essay writing competitions were held, in which, students of various colleges participated. In the essay writing competition, Shivanshi bagged the first position, whereas Khushpreet Kaur, Mamta, Anchal, Kiran and Navjot got the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth positions, respectively. However, in the poster-making competition, Harpreet Kaur got the first prize, Harjeet Singh got the second and Sukhwinder got third place.
