Deputy Commissioner Parray highlighted that the bamboo school, located directly on the kiln site, aims to provide children with both educational and environmental awareness. He emphasised that this initiative will not only promote education but also foster an understanding of environmental sustainability among the children. Encouraging the students, he remarked that everyone deserves an opportunity and that those who make the most of it can achieve success. He stressed the importance of preserving the opportunity provided by this new school. He explained that every year, workers from various parts of the country migrate to Patiala with their families to work in the brick-kilns, and during this period, their children are often deprived of education. To address this issue, the district administration has established this bamboo school in Masingan village, where the Education Department is actively teaching the children. He also mentioned that children from three nearby kilns are attending the school.

The DC said that while the parents work at the brick-kilns, their children remain idle due to a lack of educational facilities. The temporary bamboo school seeks to rectify this situation and has already seen a positive response, with around 100 children currently receiving education. He announced plans to establish similar schools at other kilns across the Patiala district.
