Simarpreet Kaur, a student of Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, has won a bronze at the maiden Commonwealth Karate Championship in South Africa.

Simarpreet who is pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga at Desh Bhagat University demonstrated exceptional skill, focus and dedication, earning the third place in a strong field of contenders.

University Chancellor Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Tajinder Kaur congratulated Simarpreet for her achievement and said the University was committed to fostering excellence in academics, sports and personal development.
