Punjab Public School celebrates Founders’ Day
The Punjab Public School, Nabha, celebrated its 64th Founders’ Day today. The proceedings got underway with the arrival of the chief guest Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab, and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, and Chairman, the School Board of Governors.
He took the salute and inspected the Guard of Honour. Headmaster DC Sharma presented the School Report. While presenting the Headmaster’s Report, Sharma thanked the patrons of the school for rendering all possible help for the growth of the institution over the years.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred on Ramesh Chander Bhalla, ex-mathematics teacher and Deputy Headmaster. The Award of Roll of Honour was conferred on Rajeev Bakshi, a distinguished corporate leader. The President’s Championship Trophy for Senior Cock House for the year 2023 was lifted by Sutlej House.
On the occasion, Junior School boys put up a grand aerobics display. The School Band put up an immaculate performance. PPS riders stole the show with their splendid performance. Speaking on the occasion, Kataria complimented the staff and students for putting up an excellent show. He said he was impressed with the highly disciplined students of the school.
Proposing the vote of thanks, Headmaster DC Sharma expressed his gratitude to Shri Kataria for his words of encouragement. Jai Singh Gill, IAS (retd), President, Executive Committee, the Board of Governors, Board Members and other prominent dignitaries were present on the occasion.
