In an effort to provide timely machinery for stubble management and raise awareness among farmers, Deputy Commissioner Preeti Yadav, along with the Patiala District Administration officials, has actively engaged with farmers in the field.

Today, the DC visited the stubble-burning hotspots from last year, including Bhankhar, Dakala and Devinagar villages. While interacting with the farmers, she assured them that the required machinery, such as balers, choppers, super seeders and surface seeders would be made available for both in-situ and ex-situ stubble management. Yadav met a farmer, using a baler to make bundles in Bala village and appreciated his efforts. Parvandeep Singh, a child, made an emotional appeal to farmers, urging them not to burn stubble.
