As many as 2,97,674 people have benefited from the 19 Aam Aadmi clinics being run in the district by the Punjab Government. Apart from it, 45,565 free lab tests were also done in these clinics, said Deputy Commissioner Parneet Shergill while presiding over the meeting of the District Health Society here on Tuesday. She said the government is also going to start another Aam Aadmi Clinic at Amloh town soon.

The Deputy Commissioner said 1,041 patients have been treated under Chief Minister Punjab Cancer Relief Fund at the cost of Rs 11.26 crore. She said the data of all government health services in the district has been verified under the Ayushman Health Account as per the instructions received from the government and the data of all the medical officers and staff nurses have been created and verified online.

She said the Ayushman Bharat Health account of 2.58 lakh people has been created till February. Under this, instructions have been given to all the senior medical officers that maximum number of people’s ID should be made.
