Minister inaugurates CM Sahayta Kendra
Patiala, July 8
To ensure convenience and prevent harassment of the general public, a ‘Suagat and Chief Minister Sahayta Kendra’ has been established at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh inaugurated the centre at the District Administrative Complex today.
Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray said the new centre would enable Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to monitor the online portal, ensuring that the public does not have to face any inconvenience or harassment. The minister highlighted that all officers have been instructed to deliver hassle-free services to citizens, adding that he, along with district MLAs, would oversee the complaint redressal process.
The DC said a dedicated team would assist the public with their administrative tasks, reducing wait times. He said the Sahayta Kendra is located just outside his office, adding that he would monitor its activities through footage from the CCTV cameras there.
He said that once an application is submitted for a specific grievance or task, it would be forwarded to the relevant department immediately. He said the public can also check the real-time status of their grievances, eliminating the need for follow-up visits.
