Experts shed light on Nobel Prize awards

Patiala, February 22

“Experts Talks” on Nobel Prizes was held at Punjabi University here today. Vice-Chancellor Arvind said the knowledge of the students remained limited due to only being attached to their own subjects of studies.

He said every student should have the knowledge of his own as well as other subjects. With all-round development, a student can contribute to other areas also.

In the “Experts Talks” programme, Prof RK Goyal, Department of Pharmaceutical and Drug Science, Punjabi University, gave a presentation on the Nobel Prize in Medicine; Prof Swaraj Raj, Head and Dean of Language Faculty of Sri Guru Granth Sahib University, on Literature; Dr Karamjit Singh on Physics; Prof Harpreet Kaur on Chemistry and Prof Anupama on Economics.

Earlier, Dean (Academics) Ashok Tiwari informed the gathering about the Nobel awards instituted at the launch of the programme.
