District administration officials review paddy lifting

Principal Secretary, Technical Education and Industrial Training, Vivek Partap Singh, conducted a review of the ongoing paddy procurement and lifting in the district. In a meeting with SSP Nanak Singh, DC Preeti Yadav, SDMs and managers of procurement agencies, He assessed the arrangements in mandis, issuing instructions to ensure efficient lifting.

Vivek said CM Bhagwant Singh Mann was personally overseeing the process and receiving daily reports. “Ensuring that procurement, payment and lifting is seamless and timely is our priority,” he said, urging all officials and departments to work with dedication. He also gathered updates from the district managers of FCI, Pungrain, Markfed, Punsup, and Warehouse on the progress of the procurement. He issued instructions to the officials concerned to expedite lifting and said he would monitor the progress.
