23 officers get DGP commendation disc
Five senior police officers in Punjab, including an ADGP and two DIGs, were awarded with the DGP Commendation Disc.
In separate orders, 18 police officers, including four Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) serving in the Patiala range, are among the list of officers who have been awarded with the Director General of Police (DGP) Commendation Disc in recognition of their efforts made on duty.
Senior five officers include ADGP Surinder Pal Singh Parmar, DIG Patiala Mandeep Singh Sidhu, DIG Ferozepur Ranjit Singh Dhillon, Commandant Parampal Singh and AIG Jagjit Singh Walia. Four Senior Superintendents of Police Nanak Singh (Patiala), Sartaj Singh Chahal (Sangrur), Sandeep Kumar Malik (Barnala) and Gagan Ajit Singh (Malerkotla) have also been named in the orders dated November 26.
The other officers in the list are AIG Intelligence Harvinder Singh Virk; SPs Palwinder Cheema, Yogesh Kumar, Rajesh Chibber; DSPs Daljit Singh Virk, Harvinder Singh Khehra; Inspectors Shaminder Singh of CIA Patiala, Sandeep Singh, Pardeep Bajwa, Sukhwinder Singh, Harry Boparai, Gurpreet Singh Bhinder, Jampal Singh and Vinerpreet Singh.
“These officers had worked hard during the recent times, including the panchayat polls and the recent agitations. Some of them worked round-the-clock to ensure law and order is maintained,” said Patiala Range DIG, Mandeep Singh Sidhu.
In October, Director General of Polic Gaurav Yadav had awarded DGP Commendation Disc to DIG Patiala Range Mandeep Singh Sidhu and four Senior Superintendent of Police Senior Superintendents of Police of Patiala range — Nanak Singh (Patiala), Sartaj Singh Chahal (Sangrur), Sandeep Kumar Malik (Barnala) and Gagan Ajit Singh (Malerkotla) in recognition of their efforts made towards peaceful conduct of panchayat elections-2024.
