Parwanoo police arrest peddler from Haryana

The Parwanoo police arrested a Hisar resident, Hemant alias Raman(28), on Friday evening from Ramgarh area of Haryana and recovered 18 grams of heroin from his possession.

He is accused of supplying heroin to three local youths who were arrested on November 10. During investigation, it was also found that the youth himself did not consume the contraband but was a supplier. His criminal antecedents are being probed by the police.

“The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Solan had earlier arrested three youths from a car (HP-64A-6691) car with 11 grams of heroin on November 10. They were coming from Chandigarh when the police stopped their vehicle near Datiyar on the highway on a tip-off leading to the arrest of the three occupants Dhiren Thakur, Harsh Thakur and Mahesh Thakur,” said SP Solan Gaurav Singh.

A case of heroin smuggling is already registered against Mahesh at Dharmpur.
