Thousands of devotees from India and abroad made a beeline to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple on the occasion of the Parkash Purb of Guru Ramdas, the fourth Sikh Guru. The devouts also had a holy dip in the Amrit Sarovar.

Jalaus, showcasing historic, religious and rare artefacts, were put on display in the sanctum sanctorum of the Golden Temple, Akal Takht and Gurdwara Baba Atal Rai. Langars were also set up to mark the birth anniversary of the founder of the holy city.

Bhog of Akhand Path was offered at Gurdwara Manji Sahib Diwan Hall, which is situated inside the Golden Temple, after which famous ragi, dhadi and kavishar jathas rendered the Gurbani kirtan. Before this, famous Kathavachak Pinderpal Singh intimated the Sangat about the life history of the fourth Sikh Guru.
