Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak celebrated in educational institutions
The Parkash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev was celebrated in educational institutions with great fervour and religious enthusiasm on Thursday.
The birth anniversary of the Guru was celebrated with devotion at Guru Amar Dass Adarsh Institute, Goindwal Sahib. A special prayer was held on the occasion which started with Shabad Kirtan organised in the school. The students shed light on the Guru’s life and teachings. A PowerPoint presentation (PPT) was made for the students in which the life of Guru Nanak was depicted. Speaking on the occasion, principal Manisha Sood asked students to always follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev while leading their lives.
The teachers and students of the local Majha Public School jointly recited the Path of Sukhmani Sahib on the Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev on Thursday. School principal Dr Raman Dua advised the students to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev: ‘Kirat Karo, Naam Japo ate Vand Chhko’. The members of the school managing committee also participated on the occasion.
Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev was celebrated at Guru Gobind Singh Convent School, Sohawa. The path of Shri Sukhmani Sahib was recited. Baba Hakam Singh of the Kar Sewa sect, Sant Baba Tara Singh Ji of Sarhali Sahib, in his address, advised the students to follow the path shown by Guru Nanak Dev to protect humanity. — OC
