With the arrival of monsoon, various areas of Panchkula have started witnessing waterlogging. The multi-featured park in Sector 20 and Cactus Garden in Sector 5 are among the badly hit.

Residents said they had asked the MC to get gullies and drainpipes cleaned before the start of monsoon, but in vain.

SK Nayar, president of Citizens’ Welfare Association, said, “There was knee-deep rainwater at many places, especially at roundabouts of Sectors 8/9/16/17, Sectors 9/10/15/16 and Sectors 15/14/Industrial Area Phase I/Phase 2.”
