In view of the prevailing cold conditions, the Police Department has decided to served tea to personnel on night checking and patrol duty in Panchkula.

The police said the cops stationed at the various checkpoints between 10 pm and 4 am and those on patrol duty will get tea prepared with cloves, cardamom and ginger. Biscuits and namkeen will be served with the tea.

This is an initiative of Shivas Kaviraj, Police Commissioner. The Police Commissioner said serving tea is both a way to keep cops warm and appreciate their dedication towards duty.
