After stealing limelight by becoming the first-ever woman chief minister of Pakistan’s most populous and politically crucial Punjab province, PML-N leader and daughter of former PM Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz is once again in the news; but this time due to a viral video.

In a video that went viral on social media, Maryam Nawaz can be seen shoving PML-N leader Uzma Kardar after the two reportedly met following Maryam’s oath-taking ceremony in Lahore on Monday.

The video showed Maryam meeting Kardar while arriving at a venue and swiftly removing the latter’s hand from her shoulder.

Meanwhile, later in a video, Kardar attributed Nawaz’s action to her hand being ‘oily’.

“I was eating halwa puri… Maryam sahiba came and said salaam. I forgot that my hand was oily and I hugged her,” she explained in a video.

The incident has become a centre of discussion, with netizens also giving their takes and prompting speculations.
