Chasing 275, India A were bundled out for 198 as left-arm Dayal (3/50), Mukesh Kumar (2/50) and Navdeep Saini (2/41) led the India B attack. Rahul top-scored for ‘A’ with a 51.

India face Syria, aim for successive titles

Hosts India and Syria will go head to head in the winner-takes-it-all third and final game of the Intercontinental Cup trophy here on Monday. India, who began the competition with a goalless draw against Mauritius on Tuesday, are eyeing their second consecutive Intercontinental Cup triumph, and third overall. England’s Moeen retires from international cricket at 37

England allrounder Moeen Ali has retired from international cricket at age 37. The Birmingham-born left-handed batter and right-arm spinner has played in 68 Tests, 138 ODIs and 92 T20Is for England since 2014, with his last international appearance in June. The first Asian-origin cricketer to captain England in T20Is, Ali has scored five centuries in Tests and three in ODIs, also taking 366 wickets across all three formats.

Stimac set to receive $400,000 from AIFF as compensation

Igor Stimac and the All India Football Federation (AIFF) have reached an agreement with the former men’s national team head coach set to receive $400,000 (approximately Rs 3.36 crore) after tax as compensation for being terminated from the job. The AIFF sacked Stimac in June, terminating his contract exactly a year before it was to expire. The sacking was followed by a bitter war of words between Stimac and the AIFF with the Croat threatening to sue the federation if it didn’t settle his dues within 10 days.
