Today, 13,649 MT paddy arrival was reported in 79 mandis of Jalandhar..

Until now, 50,924 MT crop has arrived in the mandis. Even if the purchase of 45,336 MT has been done, only 82 MT of the paddy has been lifted.

The lifting was reported from Kartarpur, Kohala and Nakodar mandis. Kulwinder Singh, a farmer from Lohian, said he had reaped his produce, but wasn’t sure if he should take it to the mandis or not.

“This is a very chaotic situation. We don’t know what to do,” he said.

Davinder Singh, farmer from Nawanshahr, said he had not harvested his produce yet, because he was waiting for the lifting to get started.
