 Chandigarh, August 26

The Ministry of Education in partnership with MyGov, is organising an Online Competition for teachers on ‘Preparation of Communication material relating to National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

 The competition will be held at the school level first. Thereafter, the next selection will be done at block/district/state. All entries selected at the district level will be called for state level by State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT).

 An online competition for teacher in schools of Chandigarh will begin between September 5 and 19 and at the cluster level will continue between September 21 and September 26.

 A district level committee comprising of District Education Officer (UT) will select 20 best entries out of the total received 20 clusters in Chandigarh. A state level committee will assess the 10 best entries received at state level and Director SCERT will chair the committee.

 The 10 best entries, irrespective of the theme and format, will be exhibited in state education department website and of SCERT from October 15 onwards. These entries will be submitted for national level selection at the link supplied by NCERT.

 The participating teachers from States and UTs will have to prepare communication material on the eleven themes of NEP 2020 related to school education including — Early childhood care and education: the foundation of learning; Foundational literacy and numeracy: an urgent & necessary prerequisite to learning; Curtailing dropout rates and ensuring universal access to education at all levels; Curriculum and pedagogy in schools: Learning should be holistic, integrated, enjoyable and engaging; Teachers and teacher education, Equitable and inclusive education: learning for all; Efficient resourcing and effective governance through school complexes/clusters, Standard-setting and accreditation for school education, Re-imagining vocational education, Adult education and lifelong learning, and Promotion of Indian languages, arts and culture.
