The McLeodganj police have arrested one Gaurav Kumar for allegedly attacking and injuring Rekha Chakma, a resident of Arunachal Pradesh, on neck with a knife. Sources in the Police Department said Gaurav worked as a chef in a restaurant in McLeodganj. He attacked Rekha, who runs the restaurant, in a fit of rage. Rekha was immediately shifted to the Tanda Medical College where her condition was stated to be stable.

The police have registered a case under Section 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against Gaurav in this connection.
