In a head-on collision of Swift and Thar today in Rahon, Nawanshahr, one person lost his life while another received serious injuries. The deceased has been identified as Pala who was driving Swift and in an attempt to overtake the tipper, the car collided with Thar that was coming from the opposite side.

Palwinder Singh from Garcha village was in Thar who sustained injuries. He was admitted to the Civil Hospital, Nawanshahr.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
