The police have arrested Balwinder Singh, a resident of Jayanti Majri, for allegedly defrauding several buyers by forging revenue documents and selling land in the Mullanpur area. He was produced in a court and sent to two-day police remand.

The police said the suspect had duped Haryana resident Sukhdev Singh of Rs 60 lakh and a doctor of Rs 43 lakh. Already there were nine cases of fraud registered against the suspect in Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab, the police said.
