Haryana Minister of State for Sports Sanjay Singh today said Olympian Sarabjot Singh has brought laurels for the country and as per the sports policy, he will get Rs 2.50 crore cash reward and a government job.
The minister reached Dheen village to meet the parents of Sarabjot Singh, who has won a bronze in 10-metre air pistol mixed team event with Manu Bhaker at the ongoing Olympics in Paris.
“The role of the family is appreciable, and we are hopeful that Sarabjot will continue to win more medals for the country in the future too. As per the sports policy, he will get Rs 2.50 crore cash reward and a government job,” said Sanjay Singh.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also talked to Sarabjot’s father Jatinder Singh over the phone and congratulated him for the achievement.
