As of the previous day, 257,875 metric tonnes of paddy had arrived in the district mandis, and 2,29,374 MT of the grain was already procured.

Officials deployed in various mandis said the procurement of paddy was progressing without any issues. “Although lifting was slightly delayed, it has now been expedited. In the coming days, as more paddy arrives in the mandis, the lifting process will also be sped up to ensure smooth operations,” the DC added.

Meanwhile, farmers claimed that the lifting was slow in the mandis and there was a glut-like situation. “Many of us have been spending days in the grain market,” they alleged.
