The BSF reportedly detained an NRI couple while roaming near the Indo-Pak border at Munabao in Barmer yesterday.

After questioning, the BSF handed them over to the police. The duo was interrogated at the Joint Interrogation Centre by security agencies in Barmer. As nothing suspicious was found, the couple, having Canadian citizenship, was allowed to leave.

A cop said the couple — Kulwinder Singh and wife Karamjit Kaur of Chanan Khera village — feigned ignorance about the restrictions imposed by the Centre on the NRIs in the border area.
