Now, trouble in Punjab Youth Congress
Chandigarh, October 28
As Punjab Congress grapples with infighting, fresh trouble has surfaced in the Punjab Youth Congress (PYC) with a number of office-bearers boycotting the meeting of the state executive held at Ropar today. Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president BV Srinivas was the chief guest at the event.
As the IYC president landed at the Mohali International Airport, a section of the office-bearers of the PYC, including a senior vice-president, general secretary district presidents, expressed annoyance with PYC president Barinder Dhillon.
Welcoming Srinivas, the disgruntled Youth Congress office-bearers conveyed to him that they were boycotting the state executive meeting due to alleged dictatorial attitude of the PYC president. In the evening, a written representation against Dhillon was submitted to the IYC president.
Rubbishing the allegation, Dhillon said hard working and deserving people were being promoted and there was no place for incompetence. — TNS
