While the recent death of a 26-year-old EY employee in Pune due to ‘excess workload’ has triggered reactions and flooded social media with toxic workplace stories; a different story where the office supports its staff’s physical and mental health has redefined an ‘ideal workplace’.

Recently, a Korean expat, Kay, working at Google Singapore, gave a sneak peek into her day as a corporate employee.

From nail salon to spa, massage parlour and multi-cuisine lunch, the video described the office as an ‘ideal workplace’.

The Instagram post by Kay, captioned, ‘You can recharge at work’ gave a glimpse of her day starting with a metro ride to work at 8.30 am.

The reel shows a coffee bar at the office, followed by lunchtime with diverse cuisines, featuring Western and Asian options, being offered in the menu.

Later, she takes to the rooftop garden and then tours the office’s wellness centre, highlighting a nap room for recharge, a hair and nail spa, a multi-faith prayer and meditation room and a massage room as well.

The post which has over 15,000 likes has also garnered reactions from the netizens. One user posted, “Wow. I really like your work area. It looks like your company takes care of all the hard-working employees.” To this, the woman replied, “Yes indeed.”

One user joked saying, “How much are you paying a month for a job like this?”

A third asked, “Is lunch complimentary for staff? So much variety,” to which Kay replied: “Yes, it is!”

Another user said, “I really need that nap room. Offices should provide those.”
