No out-station leave for doctors in Gurugram for next three days
The Chief Medical Officer of Gurugram, Dr Virender Yadav, has cancelled the out-station leave for all doctors, particularly the specialists in the Gurugram district, for the next three days in order to meet any emergency situation on the eve of Diwali.
He said the decision had been taken keeping in view the burn cases that were reported last year on Diwali. “Usually, the burn cases and respiratory and cardiac troubles are high during Diwali”, he said.
Moreover, various illnesses such as viral and soar-throat infections, along with dengue, are also being reported daily in the hospitals for the past couple of months. At present, 12 patients of dengue are admitted in the government hospital here.
The routine inflow of patients in the OPD at the district hospital in Gurugram is also high. At least, 1,800 to 2,000 patients daily visit the hospital for treatment of their ailments. Under such circumstances, it would be very difficult to ignore the health services.
“I have deployed extra doctors in the emergency for the next few days. Each and every patient visiting the emergency of the district hospital will be treated properly,” he said.
