Nine Himachal Pradesh cops selected for cyber commando training programme
Nine personnel of the Himachal Pradesh (HP) Police have been selected for the prestigious cyber commando training programme to be organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C). The selected police personnel include Aashish Kumar, Akash Thakur, Madhau Sharma, Preveen Sharma, Ram Sharma, Rohit Guleria, Shashank Tanwar and Subham Chauhan.
The six-month residential training programme would be organised at leading institutions, including Indian institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, Rashtriya Raksha University and the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Delhi and Gandhinagar.
Mohit Chawla, DIG, Cybercrime, said, “The training focuses on equipping officers with essential skills in system forensics, cybercrime detection and prevention techniques. As cyber threats continue to evolve, this initiative will enhance our capabilities to safeguard infrastructure and sensitive data.”
