Night traffic suspended on National Highway in Samba for two days
Traffic on the National Highway in Samba district will remain affected at night time on December 10 and 11 (Tuesday and Wednesday) due to the ongoing construction work of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway project, as per an advisory issued by the Traffic Police for commuters.
As per an official communication, the construction work of Delhi- Amritsar-Katra Expressway project is going on at full swing. “District Magistrate Samba has accorded permission to NHAI for girder launching activity at Chinage in front of Mount Litera School, Tarore, due to which traffic will remain suspended between Bari Brahmna and Raya Morh on intervening night of December 10 and 11 from 11.30 pm to 4 am,” it stated.
In view of traffic haltage on above said stretch of NH, commuters have been advised to use Ring Road as an alternative route (Jakh -Zamindara -Ring Road - Bishnah –Miransahib).
All type of traffic coming from Samba and Kathua side will be diverted towards Ring Road from Zamindara Dhaba towards Bishnah- Miransahib. Vehicles coming from Jammu side will be diverted at Satwari towards Miransahib Ring road.
At Kunjwani vehicles (upto 10 tyres) will be diverted towards Seora side Ring Road while at Sidco Chowk, Bari Brahmana, vehicles will be diverted towards Bishnah side flyover via Ring Road. At Sarore, light motor vehicles will be diverted towards Rasila Ashram -linked to Ring Road.
