NDRI students excel in agri research scientists exams
ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, achieved another milestone in generating quality human resources for the dairy sector through outstanding selection of students in the recently announced Agricultural Research Service (ARS) results.
Out of 56 successful candidates, 31 are students of ICAR-NDRI, with a rate of 56 per cent, showcasing the institute's commitment to excellence in agricultural research and education.
Out of the 31 students, seven students have been selected in livestock production management, five in agriculture extension education, five in animal nutrition, four in agricultural economics, three in dairy technology, two in animal physiology, one each in food technology, animal biotechnology, animal genetics & breeding, dairy chemistry and animal reproduction & gynaecology, said Dr Dheer Singh, Director and Vice-Chancellor, ICAR-NDRI.
Congratulating the selected students, Dr Singh appreciated their hard work. He credited the accomplishment as a reflection of the dedication of the students, the relentless efforts of their faculty and the academic environment at NDRI.
Singh briefed that NDRI was serving for developing the quality human resource for the Indian dairy sector, research and development organisations, universities and other government organisations.
The institute has had a 100 per cent placement record in recent years. The institute is offering quality education, opportunity for hands-on-learning and putting greater emphasis on creativity and innovations, he added.
Singh complemented the faculty of the institute and urged them to motivate the students for working towards excellence. The selected students conveyed their gratitude to the director, scientists and faculty members of ICAR-NDRI for the inspiration, skill and efforts in achieving their goals. Singh is optimistic that this achievement will inspire the next generation of scholars and researchers to aim higher and continue contributing to the nation's agricultural and livestock development.
