NDRI scholar bags FSSAI award
Karnal: Vaishali L Dasriya, PhD Scholar of Dr Anil Kumar Puniya, Dairy Microbiology Division of the ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), has bagged the Certificate of Excellence in the national-level ‘Eat Right Research Awards’, which was hosted by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Dr MS Chauhan, Director, ICAR-NDRI, said the award ceremony in New Delhi was presided over by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. Under the ‘Eat Safe’ theme of the award, she earned a citation and a monetary prize of Rs 2.5 lakh in the ‘individual category’. Her research was on ‘Screening of cereal-based foods for pesticide residues using a paper strip-based sensor’.
Dates extended for admission
Palwal: Shri Vishwakarma Skill University has extended the dates of admission for various skill courses in the 2022-23 academic session. The last date of D.Voc/Diploma/B.Voc/B.B.A. admission was June 14, now it has been extended till July 10. For admission in PG Diploma/M.Voc/MBA/M.Tech, the date was till July 9, now it has been extended till July 25. For more information, students can visit the university website from time to time.
VC gets excellence award
Gurugram: Vice-Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University Raj Nehru has been conferred with ‘Top Rankers Excellence Award’ by Top Rankers Management Club, Delhi, for his “outstanding contribution in the field of skill education”. High Commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius Shanti Bai Hanumanji, former Supreme Court Justice BP Singh and Director JK Tyre and Industries AK Bajoria presented this award at the 22nd national management summit.
