NDRI ranks 2nd in NIRF ranking

The ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) has secured the second rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF)-2024 in ‘Agriculture and allied category of the Union Ministry of Higher Education.
Dheer Singh, Director and Vice-Chancellor of the institute, received the award for the ranking from Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan during the award ceremony for the India Rankings 2024 in New Delhi.
As per the NIRF guidelines, the institute has been ranked on the basis of parameters such as teaching, learning and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity and peer perception. A total of 145 institutes participated in the agriculture and allied sciences rankings.
Dheer Singh said that the NDRI was one of the premier institutes in the dairy sector, which had contributed a lot to the growth of the dairy industry. It had played a crucial role in India’’s development in milk production with its continuous research over the past 101 years. The Director congratulated all the staff members and students on this significant achievement.
