Until the construction of a grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the deity of Ram Lalla installed in the makeshift-tented temple since December 6, 1992 is to be shifted to a temporary temple made of fibre-sheet.

The Ayodhya administration has already started the groundwork for the setting up of the fibre mandir that would come up in the south of Manas Bhawan in the present Ram Janmabhoomi complex.

According to the main priest of the makeshift temple, all preparations to move Ram Lalla out of the tented mandir into the fibre mandir are complete.

This is being done to ensure that devotees continue uninterrupted darshan of Ram Lalla, pointed out Champut Rai, general secretary of the newly set up Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust.

Speaking to reporters at Karsevakpuram on Saturday after members of the Trust inspected the mandir complex, Rai said once the construction of the Ram Mandir was completed, Ram Lalla would be shifted there from his makeshift fibre home.

Rai also clarified that there would be no change whatsoever in the design of the Ram Mandir which will come up as per the model. “The mandir will be as per the model prepared by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Those suggesting changes are just going to further delay the matter,” said Rai.

According to him, a bank account is to be opened in the State Bank of India in which donation for the construction of the mandir could be directly deposited.

Rai said the governments as well as the common people were welcome to donate money for the construction of Ram Temple.

He also alerted the security staff to remain in top vigil to avoid the repetition of the 2005 terrorist attack in the Ayodhya mandir complex during which the then watchful security staff had gunned down terrorist.

Meanwhile, the Revenue Department is working to include the 67 acres of land and other adjoining land into a new revenue village to be named called Shri Ram Lalla Virajman.

VHP sources, however, claim that the total area of this land would be around 100 acres. Instead of a revenue village, it would soon become part of the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation and be named Shri Ram Lalla township.
