“When the rest of the country was grappling with the pandemic, the Uttar Pradesh Government managed to contain the spread of virus, made arrangements for the return of more than 35 lakh workers, completed skill mapping of 30.47 lakh workers and launched the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan,” said PM Modi.

He said UP’s population of 24 crore is same as that of four European countries put together but, in UP the death toll is 600 due to Covid and lauded the efforts of Adityanath in tackling the pandemic.
