MP Deepender Hooda unveils martyr’s bust in Rohtak village

Member of Parliament (MP) Deepender Hooda on Wednesday unveiled the bust of martyr Major Sajjan Singh Gehlawat at Sports Stadium in Khedi Sadh village, under the Kalanaur Assembly constituency.

“We are all proud of Major Gehlawat’s dedication and his martyrdom will always inspire the youth of Haryana to join the Army and serve the country in true sense. He was a brave soldier and an excellent officer, who led from the front, following the highest traditions of the Army and sacrificed his life while performing his duty. Major Gehlawat was awarded Shaurya Chakra for his extraordinary courage, leadership and supreme sacrifice,” said the MP.

He said the honour and respect of the martyred soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families was paramount for the country. “It is our duty to stand with the families of  martyrs in their happiness and sorrow,” he added.
