MP cops grill gangster Dalla’s two aides in murder case
Two days after the Faridkot police arrested two operatives of Canada-based gangster-turned-terrorist Arsh Dalla, a team of the Madhya Pradesh police reached here for their identification and questioning in another murder case.
Both Navjot Singh, alias Neetu, and Anmolpreet Singh, alias Vishal, were arrested from the Mohali area on Sunday. They are accused of killing a YouTuber Gurpreet Singh of Hari Nau village of Faridkot on October 9. Gurpreet was also a former office-bearer of “Waris Punjab De” and a member of Behbal Kalan Insaaf Morcha.
It is alleged that Neetu and Vishal had shot dead one Jaswant Singh Gill in Dabra town of Gwalior district on Madhya Pradesh on November 7. Gill was out on parole since October 28. Police sources said Gill was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing his wife’s cousin Sukhvinder Singh in 2016.
Faridkot SSP Pragya Jain declined to divulge the details of two weapons recovered from Neetu and Vishal
Sources said the Madhya Pradesh police got information about the duo through an identity card used at a Gwalior hotel where they had stayed. While Vishal belongs to Barnala, Neetu hailed from Kharar.
After getting permission from a local court today, the Madhya Pradesh police team questioned the duo for one hour. The accused are in Faridkot police remand for six days. They will be taken to Gwalior on transit remand later.
