Gippy Grewal’s Geja ends up in the same jail as Pamma (Prince Kanwaljit Singh). While Geja reaches the prison because he wants to kill Pamma, many in the jail want to see him dead as he is the top gangster in town.
The narrative delves into Geja’s transformation as an assassin, offering glimpses of his love story with Ranauk (Jasmin Bhasin) and an introduction to his family. We are also made to understand the circumstances leading to Pamma’s involvement in gang wars. Their stories arouse compassion, forcing you to root for them occasionally.
Following brief character introductions and story outlines, the plot unravels. We meet Hobby Dhaliwal, Malkeet Rauni, Raghveer Boli, Dheeraj Kumar, Jaggi Singh and Raj Singh Jhinjar, and understand their rivalry with Geja. As you piece the puzzle together and comprehend the interconnected web of characters, Rahul Dev as police officer Ranjit Singh enters the story. In macho style, he leads you to the climax.
The suspenseful narrative keeps viewers engaged, posing questions about Geja’s fate and Pamma’s attempts to save himself.
Prince Kanwaljit Singh as Pamma is a natural. He delivers a captivating performance and his dialogues make you laugh even during the most serious scenes and none of it is forced comedy.
Gippy Grewal leaves you surprised with his stellar performance in this action thriller. With no dialogues, his expressions do the job and he emerges a winner. All the character actors, including Rupinder Rupi, contribute effectively. They add strength and authenticity to the storyline.
Director Amar Hundal’s skilful storytelling, coupled with Baljit Singh Deo’s visually captivating cinematography, elevates the overall cinematic experience. Kevin Roy’s impactful background score and tracks, including ‘Chann’, ‘Devil’ and ‘Dead’, are situational, blending with the storyline.
Ending at a cliffhanger, ‘Warning 2’ emerges as a compelling sequel.
