The school celebrated its 37th Annual-cum-Founders Day at Tagore Theatre. Themed “One School, Many Stories – A Learning Tapestry”, the event beautifully encapsulated the essence of the school as a vibrant community of diverse stories, bound together by shared values and aspirations. The chief guest for Slot 3 was Amit Kumar, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. The guests of honour were Dr Amit Bhattacharjee, Scientist, PGIMER, and Jagdeep Sehgal, Joint Director, Local Government, Punjab. The earlier slots were graced by notable dignitaries, including Shipra Bansal, Chairperson CCPCR, Chandigarh, Chander Shekhar, retired DGP, Rajendra Singh, retired DGP, Kuldeep Kumar, Mayor, Chandigarh, and Colonel Deepak De SM (retired). The celebration began on an auspicious note with a scripture reading from the Bible, followed by a warm welcome by the Head Girl. The stage then came alive with a spectacular display of diversity, featuring dances like Afro dance, mask dance, sports and science dance, English play, Gujrati garba, Marathi lavani and the ever-vivacious bhangra. The senior choir added harmony with a soul-stirring medley, perfectly aligned with the event’s rhythm. The achievements of the past academic session were proudly showcased in the annual report, followed by a prize distribution ceremony. As many as 47 students were awarded the Best All-round Students’ trophies for the session 2023-24. As many as 94 students of classes VI to XII were awarded for Excellence in Academics for the session 2023-24. Dr Annie Charles Samuel & Dr Earnest Charles J Samuel Rolling Trophy for the highest aggregate marks scored by the student of the school in the Class XII CBSE examinations conducted in March 2024 was bagged by Aashirya, who scored 96.4% marks. As many as 41 students were awarded for scoring 90% and above marks in the CBSE board examiantion-2024. The staff members who have served the institution for more than 15 years, 20 years, 25 years and 30 years were also honoured on the occasion.
